I was reading through today’s reading from a devotional help on family worship and was reminded once again of the brokenness of our present culture. I am talking about the injurious nature of discussion and comments about others, particularly about other Christians.

It is obvious the great and enduring passion of our Convention is International Missions, and it should be. At the same time, no one I know wants to abandon North America in order to reach the nations, and that too is as it should be.

Joshua 9 contains an interesting story of intrigue and deception. God’s people failed to consult God and entered into a forbidden treaty with a Canaanite nation.
